The council met in regular session at city hall. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by the Mayor Pro Tem Fero.

1. The City Clerk reported that the refurbishing of the east wall of Dr Fischer building in the historical business district has been determined to be regular maintenance and will be approved through the Building/Code Officer, Dale Kyrouac.

Accountant – Reported that audit is concluded and we are waiting for the final report. The city is in the process of submitting the application for the American Recue Plan (ARP) funds from the government which should be in the vicinity of $567,000 to be used in some different areas, such as, infrastructure, water/sewer upgrades and broadband.

*Executive Session under 5 ILCS 120 Sec 2(c)(1) the consideration of the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity.
** Request to go into Executive Session under 5 ILCS 120 Sec 2(c)(8) of the Open Meeting Act to consider security procedures and the use of personnel and equipment to respond to an actual, threatened, or reasonably potential danger to the safety of employees and public property. Public bodies may now also hold closed meetings to discuss threats or danger to the security of the public itself.
