State Sen. Jason Plummer (R-Edwardsville) is questioning DuPage Democrat Mary Lemanski’s behavior in light of a recent string of tweets diminishing the deaths of five and injuries to 40 after an SUV driver ran down participants in a Waukesha, WI Christmas parade.

Lemamski, a leader in the DuPage County Democratic Party, satirized the deaths on Twitter.

“Who are these lunatics? I have family & friends in DuPage County — it’s time to get rid of these left wing extremists who are ruining that great county. This Wisconsin tragedy is beyond words and then to see something like this…good grief,” Plummer said on Facebook.

Plummer was responding in line to a tweet from Lemanski.

“The blood of Kyle Rittenhouse’s victims is on the hands of Wisconsin citizens, even the children,” Lemanski tweeted in the aftermath of Rittenhouse’s acquittal.

Rittenhouse was acquitted in the killing of two in last year’s Kenosha riots. After the Waukesha incident, Lemanski took to Twitter.

“Living in Wisconsin, he probably felt threatened,” Lemanski said in one tweet regarding the attack in a nod to the acquittal of Rittenhouse.

In another she used Rittenhouse's defense for being at last year’s riots.

“I’m sure he didn’t want to hurt anyone. He came to help people,” Lemanski said.

Lemanski doubled-down and posted a response after critics began to bombard her; her tweets have since been deleted.

“Nobody cared about me like my whole life. My mom used to leave me for hours at a time alone in my play pen. I’ve put out music for 20 years nobody gave a shit. Why do people all of a sudden care about my stupid remark? I can’t believe my 15 minutes of fame is for this shit,” she tweeted.

Lemanski ran as a Democrat for Downers Grove Township Clerk this year only notching just over 45% of the vote in a loss to Lorraine Grimsby.

Her Twitter account notes she is “Former social media director, Democratic Party of DuPage County, IL/Actress at Second City.”

The suspected driver of the vehicle, Darrell Edward Brooks, has a lengthy criminal background. He has reportedly been arrested at least 25  times and according to some is an “admitted child sex trafficker” in addition to a registered sex offender and domestic abuse perpetrator.
