Report: Belle Valley School District spent $11,859 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Belle Valley School District 119 was up 6.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Metro East Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Saint Clair County school district spent $11,105 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,859 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 989 to 1,053 students over the same period.

Belle Valley's spending in 2019-20 was 18.2 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
