Report: Whiteside School District spent $9,359 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Whiteside School District 115 was up 12.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Metro East Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Saint Clair County school district spent $8,327 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,359 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,314 to 1,285 students over the same period.

Whiteside's spending in 2019-20 was 35.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
