For the third time in his career redshirt senior setter Ryan Serrano (Phoenix, Ariz./Boulder Creek) was named the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Player of the Week.
This is Serrano's second career Defensive Player of the Week award as he was named the Defensive Player of the Week on March 26, 2019, and he was named an Offensive Player of the Week on February 11, 2020, and he was the American Volleyball Coaches Association National Player of the Week.
In the two wins last week over Quincy and Lindenwood, Serrano recorded 16 digs for an average of 2.67 digs per set and one block for an average of 0.17 blocks per set.
Serrano also added 55 assists for an average of 9.17 assists per set and seven kills for an average of 1.17 kills per set.
Serrano and the Bearcats will return to action on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. against Loyola University Chicago at the Melvin Price Convocation Center.
