"Thank you to REALTOR Association of Southwestern Illinois for another great Legislative Breakfast! I appreciate all our great Illinois Realtors and their continued hard work to build our communities," Plummer wrote in a July 8 Facebook post.

In May, Plummer criticized Democrats for a variety of issues the state was facing, according to South Central Reporter.
"Can anyone identify that outlier right in the middle of the country? What makes us different from our friends and neighbors in Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana and Kentucky?" Plummer wrote in a May 31 Facebook post. "Unnecessarily high gas prices, out-of-control crime, corruption, high taxes, busted budgets and free feminine hygiene products in boys' school bathrooms, to name a few things, all brought to you by out-of-touch Democrat majorities. Remember this in November."
He has also spoken out on what he sees as a sharp increase in violent crime, blaming Democrats for this as well, according to East Central Reporter.
“When you slander, insult and endanger those who put their lives on the line to protect our communities and our families, this sort of thing happens,” Plummer wrote in a May 11 Facebook post. “And why would anyone be surprised? You’re doing a bang-up job, Chicago Mayor's Office, Gov. Pritzker and Democrat legislators. The violent crime and numbers of residents fleeing is only going to get worse if you keep protecting criminals and keep attacking our law-enforcement professionals. Crime is out of control."
