In a July 13 Facebook post, Sen. Terri Bryant (R-Murphysboro) announced her visit to the Mount Vernon Rotary Club on July 12.
"Thank you for the invitation to join you," Bryant posted.
Bryant shared a post from the club's meeting: "Today was our Rotary Club's first meeting at Joe's Pizza Mount Vernon. Thank you to owner Ben Sperry and the staff for opening your doors to us. Thank you to Illinois State Senator Terri Bryant for joining us today to update us on what is happening at the state level. She gave us updates on redistricting, energy, property taxes, and cost of living. Please join us next Tuesday as we Imagine Rotary!"
On July 6, Bryant shared her thanks to those who voted for her to be re-elected to represent the state's new 58th District. "I want to take a moment to thank the thousands of friends and supporters that voted for me to be your next State Senator in last Tuesday's Primary Election! Come January 2023, I will be serving as the new 58th District's State Senator," Bryant wrote in a July 6 Facebook post. "Serving you in Springfield is an honor and privilege that I take very seriously. Thank you again to everyone for your continued support and efforts on my behalf. God Bless You!"
Bryant ran unopposed in the Republican primary for the new 58th District. She's so far running unopposed in November's general election.
