City of Edwardsville Public Services Committee met Sept. 11.

I. Public Comment: None.
II. Council Matters:
A. Approval of Minutes from the August 8, 2023 Public Services Committee meeting:
Alderman Morrison made a motion to approve with Alderman Miracle seconding the motion. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for information.
B. Approval of a Sole Source Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of Bulk LA Rock Salt from Gunter Salt Company in the estimated amount of $155,250.00
Alderman Morrison made a motion to approve with Alderman Miracle seconding the motion. Staff explained that this is for the purchase of rock salt for use at the Water Treatment Plant for three months. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for consideration.
C. Approval to Award the Cloverdale Elevated Storage Tower Repainting Project to MW Cole Construction it the base bid amount of $161,680 and Alternate Number 1 in the amount of $20,000

D. Approval of a Resolution of Financial Commitment and Support for the Center Grove Road Shared Use Path from the Route 66 Shared Use Path to Edwardsville High School for the Safe Routes to Schools Grants
Alderman Morrison made a motion to approve with Alderman Miracle seconding the motion. Staff explained that this is a grant from the state for a proposed shared use path that will connect the Route 66 Shared Use Trail along Route 157 to Edwardsville High School. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for consideration.

A. Change Order #2 for the IL 159 Shared Use Trail Phase 1 & 2 in the decreased amount of $2,036.76
