St. Clair County taxpayers paid $639,334 in County Flood Protection Tax in December 2023, according to Illinois tax records.

This figure marks a noticeable increase from the previous month, where County Flood Protection Tax collection stood at $616,420.

Over the past 12 months, St. Clair County's residents have collectively paid a total of $7.5 million in County Flood Protection Tax.

The County Flood Protection Tax, a crucial revenue stream, is primarily allocated for other taxing jurisdictions use.
