State Representative Charlie Meier (R-Okawville) was proud to honor two guests at the third annual Emerging Women Leaders (EWL) conference, Jennifer Ostrander and Elaine McNamara. Meier stated, “I was proud to recognize Jennifer Ostrander and Elaine McNamara for their commitment to improving our region at the Emerging Women Leaders Recognition Conference.”
Jennifer Ostrander, the owner of The Olde Wicks Factory Special Event Center in Highland, was acknowledged for her dedication to enhancing the region. Meier highlighted Ostrander's efforts, stating, “Her business marries the beauty of century-old architecture from the original Pipe Organ Company that built this property to the modern comforts and amenities of today to give her clients a truly outstanding experience every time.”
Elaine McNamara, Director of Greenville SMART and Executive Director of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, was also recognized for her contributions to the community. Meier commended McNamara, emphasizing her involvement in the Greenville community and her role as a radio broadcaster.
The EWL conference, designed to celebrate the achievements of emerging women leaders, was deemed a success by participants. Attendees engaged in various activities throughout the day, including a brunch and listening session, a Capitol tour, and a presentation titled “Own Your Power.” These sessions aimed to empower and inspire women leaders from across the state.
Representatives from different districts came together at the event to honor the remarkable accomplishments of women leaders. The conference provided valuable networking opportunities, collaboration prospects, and personal growth experiences.
