City of Edwardsville Public Services Committee met April 9

I. Public Comment: None.

II. Council Matters:

A. Approval of Minutes from the March 28, 2024 Public Services Committee meeting:

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Morrison seconding the motion.

All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for information.

B. Approval of Addendum #4 to the State of Illinois Department of Transportation Maintenance Agreement for FAP 592 (IL 157) Section 21-00111-03-BT

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Patton seconding the motion.

Staff explained that this is for the jurisdiction and maintenance requirements of the improvements to be made to the IL157 corridor as part of the Route 66 Shared Use Path Phase 3 project. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for consideration.

C. Approval of Change Order #2 for the N Kansas and E High Street water Main Replacement Contract to Kamadulski Excavating, Inc. in the increased amount of $219,308.90

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Morrison seconding the motion.

Staff explained that this is for additional work performed related to service line replacements along with an adjustment of quantities. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Council for consideration.

III. Old Business:

1. Ordinance amending Chapter 122 – Vegetation, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Edwardsville

Alderman Warren made a motion to approve with Alderman Patton seconding the motion.

Staff explained that this is for tree mitigation for right-of-way areas related to improvement projects. All Ayes. Committee forwarded to Administrative and Community Services for consideration.

IV. New Business:

V. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Alderman Warren made a motion to enter into Executive Session. Alderman

Morrison seconded the motion. Committee moved to closed session at 4:40 pm.

Committee left closed session and returned to open session at 5:29 pm. No action was taken on Executive Session items.

VI. Information:

A. Change Order #4 for the Second Street Improvements Contract in the increased amount of $9,595.00

B. Change Order #5 and Final for the Second Street Improvements Contract in the increased amount of $9,280.99

C. Next Public Services Committee meeting will be held at City Hall, 118 Hillsboro Ave. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.

VII. Adjournment: Alderman Warren made a motion to adjourn. Alderman Morrison seconded the motion.

All Ayes. Committee adjourned at 5:29 pm.
