The House of Representatives has passed 14 bipartisan bills aimed at improving services and benefits for veterans. The measures focus on a range of issues, including healthcare access, education and job training benefits, modernizing claims processing, safeguarding the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) supply chain, and protecting the homes of deployed servicemembers.
House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Mike Bost (R-Ill.) commented on the passage: “Fourteen bills mean fourteen wins for veterans and their families. The bills the House passed this week address a range of issues from: improving education and job training benefits, expanding access to health care for veterans in rural areas and remote parts of the world, modernizing benefits outreach, protecting VA’s medical supply chain, and more, these bills are in lockstep with our promise to make VA better,” said Chairman Bost. “I want to thank the members of our House Republican conference for their forward-thinking ideas and leadership on these bills to advance the delivery of healthcare and benefits on behalf of the veterans we serve.”
