State Representative Kevin Schmidt (R-Cahokia Heights) is updating senior citizens on how to stay safe in the growing world of fraud. “Fraud targeting senior citizens is an increasingly prevalent issue across the country, and it requires our immediate attention and action,” said Schmidt. “As scams become more sophisticated, the need for heightened awareness and proactive measures becomes even more critical. As your State Representative, I am committed to ensuring that you have the tools and knowledge necessary to protect yourself from these deceptive practices.”

An expert from the Attorney General’s Office will visit Millstadt soon to share her insights and strategies for fraud prevention. Marsha, a seasoned specialist in consumer protection, will lead a Senior Citizen Fraud Protection presentation at the Millstadt Senior Center on Thursday, July 18th, at 11 AM.
