The 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris will commence with the opening ceremony on July 26 and conclude on August 11. Athletes will compete in 32 sports and 329 medal events. A total of 27 Olympic athletes and nine Paralympic athletes from Illinois will represent the U.S. at the Summer Games.
“I’m looking forward to watching East Alton’s own Jayden Ulrich compete in track and field,” said Representative Amy Elik. “She’s making our community so proud!”
