Last Friday was Agriculture Day at the Illinois State Fair, an event that brings Illinoisans together to acknowledge agriculture. This day provides an opportunity to appreciate the work in the fields, classrooms, and agribusiness across the state.
Illinois State Representative and generational farmer Charlie Meier attended Ag Day this year. He noted that last year’s Ag Day was canceled due to weather and expressed appreciation for the cooler temperatures this year.
“I attended the breakfast and visited with several 4H kids from the district,” said Rep. Meier. “I love going to Ag Day and seeing folks from my district in their element in Springfield.”
