Here are the minutes provided by the council:

1. OPENING

Procedural: 1.1 CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Roach called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Information, Procedural: 1.2 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Boy Scouts from Pack 35 led the council in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Action, Minutes: 1.4 APPROVAL OF MINUTES - July 15, 2024

Motion by Jerry Albrecht, second by Roy Carney to approve the minutes of July 15, 2024.

Council Member Vorce stated that he was marked absent but later was marked to vote. It was explained that after public comments he was marked as joining the meeting via zoom.

Information: 5.1 Nominating Petitions Available beginning August 20, 2024

City Clerk Mouser stated that candidates wishing to run for mayor, clerk, treasurer or council member on April 1, 2025 can begin to pick up nominating petitions August 20, 2024 in the clerk’s office from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday.

6. REPORTS - MAYOR'S REPORT

Action: 6.1 Re-appointment of Valerie Hancock to the Historic Preservation Commission for a 3-year term expiring August 15, 2027, and Mark Kampen to the Historic Preservation Commission for a 3-year term expiring August 19, 2027

Motion by Andrea Fohne, second by Roy Carney to approve the re-appointment of Valerie Hancock to the Historic Preservation Committee for a 3-year term expiring August 15, 2027, and Mark Kampen to the Historic Preservation Committee for a 3-year term expiring August 19, 2027

Council Member Albrecht stated that these are only plans and not official projects.
