Today marks the beginning of Food Bank Week, an opportunity to focus on combating food insecurity. Community members are encouraged to participate by volunteering, donating, or raising awareness for local food banks.

State Representative Schmidt highlighted their commitment to this cause. "When the legislature raised our pay, I promised to donate my pay raise each month to local food banks," Schmidt stated. They also shared images of their contributions over the past year.

The aim is to foster a future where hunger is eradicated.
