State Representative Kevin Schmidt has donated his October pay raise to Lebanon Matthew 25:40 Ministries, the organization behind the Lebanon Food Pantry. This contribution is part of Schmidt's ongoing commitment to donate his monthly pay raise to local food pantries or non-profit organizations in his district. This initiative follows his vote against a legislative pay raise last year.

"Our local food pantries need our help," Schmidt stated. "As promised, I donate back my personal pay raise each month to a local food pantry or community organization. I’m putting my money where my mouth is."

Lebanon Matthew 25:40 Ministries was founded by the Lebanon Area Ministerial Council of Churches and serves those in need in Lebanon and Summerfield, Illinois. It receives financial support from local churches, businesses, and individuals. The organization oversees the Lebanon Food Pantry and Community Care Coalition, which have assisted over 1,500 individuals with food shortages over more than two decades.
