58.6% of Mascoutah Community Unit School District 19 students met or exceeded ELA IAR expectations on tests in 2022-23 school year

In the 2022-23 school year, 58.6% of the students in Mascoutah Community Unit School District 19 passed the ELA portion of the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR), according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Of the 1,816 students in Mascoutah Community Unit School District 19 who took the ELA portion of the test, approximately 1,064 (58.6%) passed.

The percentage of Mascoutah Community Unit School District 19 students who met or exceeded expectations on the IAR increased by 4.2% compared to the previous school year.

According to the 2024 Illinois Report Card, math proficiency among Illinois students in grades 3-8 remains below pre-pandemic levels, while reading performance has recovered. Meanwhile, 11th graders have experienced significant declines in both subjects, falling below pre-pandemic benchmarks.
