On December 9, 2024, Rep. Bost highlighted the National Christmas Tree display at the White House grounds, where students from all 50 states have decorated trees. He expressed pride in Richland County’s Community Unit School District for representing Illinois in this national event. "The National Christmas Tree display on the White House grounds presents trees decorated from students from all 50 states. So proud to see that Richland County’s Community Unit School District is representing the state of Illinois in our nation’s capital."
Later that day, he praised the artistic talents found in Southern Illinois and noted the region's festive spirit during the holiday season. "We’ve got some wonderful artists in Southern Illinois; it’s great to see everyone getting in the Christmas spirit!"
On December 10, 2024, Rep. Bost addressed a contentious issue involving public access to Little Grassy Lake managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He voiced constituents' frustrations over unfulfilled promises regarding recreational access during structural repairs at the lake and emphasized a lack of communication with the public about these changes."People are furious at U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, & they have every right to be. We were promised access to Little Grassy Lake for recreational activities as water levels were reduced for structural repairs and that nothing would change without communication with the public."
