Rep. Mike Bost, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 12th district since 2015, shared updates on his recent activities through a series of tweets. These posts highlight his ongoing commitment to various community and national issues.

On May 14, 2025, Rep. Bost announced his participation with the National Association of Broadcasters in filming a public service announcement aimed at "connecting veterans with vital services for suicide prevention and addiction recovery." "Joined the National Association of Broadcasters to film a public service announcement this week connecting veterans with vital services for suicide prevention and addiction recovery."

Later that day, he reminisced about a prayer card program initiated by his wife during President Trump's first term. He expressed happiness over her continued efforts in collecting handwritten notes from across Illinois and beyond for the current president. "You may remember the prayer card program my wife, Tracy, started during President Trump’s first term. She and other dedicated volunteers collected thoughtful, handwritten notes from across Illinois and from points much more distant. I’m so happy she’s doing the same for President."

In another tweet on May 14, Bost paid tribute to Illinois State Trooper Clay Carns on the House floor, acknowledging his sacrifice after being killed in a roadside accident last December. He presented an official Congressional Record of his remarks to Carns' parents and family as an honor to their son's memory. "Yesterday, I spoke on the House floor honoring Illinois State Trooper Clay Carns, who was killed in a roadside accident in December of last year. I had the honor of presenting Clay’s parents, Dan and Patricia, and his family with an official Congressional Record of my remarks."

Mike Bost has served as a U.S Congressman since replacing Gerald Hawkins in 2015; prior to this role he served in both the Illinois House of Representatives and Jackson County Board.
