On May 14, Rep. Bost announced that he joined the National Association of Broadcasters to film a public service announcement focused on connecting veterans with essential services for suicide prevention and addiction recovery.
Later that day, Rep. Bost recalled a prayer card program initiated by his wife, Tracy, during President Trump's first term. He expressed joy that she is continuing this initiative for the current president by collecting handwritten notes from across Illinois and beyond.

Mike Bost has served in Congress since 2015 after replacing Gerald Hawkins. Prior to this role, he was part of the Illinois House of Representatives from 1995 to 2015 and served on the Jackson County Board from 1984 to 1988. Born in Murphysboro in 1960, Bost graduated from the University of Illinois' Certified Firefighter II Academy in 1993.
