On May 13, 2025, Rep. Bost commemorated National Police Week by honoring the life and sacrifice of Illinois State Trooper Clay Carns. "As we mark National Police Week, I took to the House floor to honor the life and sacrifice of Illinois State Trooper Clay Carns, who was born in Carbondale and graduated from Pinckneyville High School. Trooper Carns was tragically killed in a roadside accident while clearing" expressed Bost in his tribute.
The following day, on May 14, 2025, Rep. Bost highlighted President Trump's efforts to attract global investments into the United States.
