City of Edwardsville Board of Fire & Police Commissioners met May 28
Here are the minutes provided by the commissioners:
A Special Meeting of the Board of Fire & Police Commissioners was called to order at 5:00 p.m. in the Training/Conference Room at the Edwardsville Public Safety Building with Chairman, John W. McCracken, presiding.
Commissioners Attending: John W. McCracken, John Cunningham, Jean Hughes and Roger L. Huber. Mary Ann Harris was out-of-town. Also Attending: Fire Chief Brenden McKee
Administrative: At 5:05 pm, with a second to the Motion by Commissioner Hughes, Commissioner Cunningham moved to adjourn the Special Meeting and reconvene in Closed Session to conduct Oral Interviews for three (3) additional Applicants from the 5th round of Written Testing seeking entry to the rank of Probationary Firefighter-EMT.
At 6:30 pm, after the conclusion of oral interviews, Commissioner Hughes arose from Closed Session and moved to return this Special Meeting to Open Session. The Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cunningham, which carried unanimously.
Fire Department: Prior to commencement of Oral Interviews, each of the Applicants successfully passed the Aerial Ladder Climb Test, and also presented verification that they had passed their C-РАТ.
The three Applicants were Carson Chenault, Jacob Hildebrand and Brandon Hoguet.
After further deliberation, Commissioner Huber made a Motion to approve the following Initial Eligibility Hiring List. Commissioner Hughes seconded the Motion, which carried unanimously.

In final action during this Open Session, Commissioner Cunningham made a Motion to retroactively approve the issuance of Conditional Letters of Employment to Charles McCrory and Jacob Hatcher for the rank of Probationary Firefighter-EMT. Commissioner Hughes seconded the Motion, which carried without dissent.
With no further business to be conducted, Commissioner Harris moved to adjourn the Special Meeting at 6:45 pm. Commissioner Hughes seconded the Motion, which carried without dissent.
