City of Belleville Public Library Board met Aug. 12

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL

In case the case of a fire, please exit the building as quickly and orderly as possible via the nearest emergency exit and re-assemble in the Associated Bank parking lot across from the main entrance. In case of a tornado or severe please head to the lower level of the building, if already on the lower level, please remain there until it is safe.

● HB 42 - Authorizes library boards to charge nonresident library fees on a quarterly or biannual basis, rather than in one lump sum.

● HB 1910 - Requires libraries to maintain a supply of opioid antagonists and have at least one employee trained to identify the signs of opioid overdose present at the library during operating hours to administer an antagonist.

● Motion to amend Non-resident fee policy to allow patrons to make payments in installments.
