Illinois American Water has started its annual water treatment process in the Metro East area. This temporary change aims to maintain the quality of water and ensure reliable fire protection for homes and businesses.

Crews from Illinois American Water will flush water mains and fire hydrants in the Metro East communities that receive direct service from the company. The maintenance program is scheduled to continue through October.
