City of Belleville City Council met Sept. 2

11-A(1). Motion to approve Baxmeyer Construction, Inc., lowest responsible bidder, in the amount of $1,370,097.77 for the Cool Vally Drainage Project (CDBG/TIF 3)

11-A(2). Motion to modify the 70/30 Sidewalk Replacement Program to share the value of the standard broom finished concrete for all sidewalk surface projects. Property owner responsible for all extra costs above the standard broom finished concrete price (TIF/MFT)

11-A(3). Motion to approve The Historical Society to expand the Walk of Fame at the Square, located at 19 Public Square at the northwest quadrant, utilizing the Sidewalk Program (TIF 3)

11-B. MOTION FROM PUBLIC HEALTH & HOUSING

11-B(1). Motion to purchase 718 South High Street (08-27.0-109- 004) from St. Clair County Tax Agent in the amount of $786.00 for demolition

12-B. VIOLENCE PREVENTION OF SWIL - OCTOBER 2025

Request from Violence Prevention Center to place purple ribbons for domestic violence awareness month in October on streetlight poles – Downtown Belleville

12-C. “PAINT HISTORIC BELLEVILLE” ART AUCTION- 09/20/2025

Request from Belleville Historic Society to host “Paint Historic Belleville” Art Auction, Saturday, September 20, 2025, 11:00am to 3:30pm. Street Closure Request: East Garfield Street west of Mascoutah Avenue for approximately 50 yards toward Abend. Additional City services: “No Parking” signage, trash toters, street sweeping and barricades

12-D. WEDDING – 10/04/2025

Request from Sophie Powell and Monya Nikahd to reserve the city owned parking lot on the block of 900 West Main Street for wedding parking, Saturday, October 4, 2025, 12:00pm to 7:00pm. Additional City Services: barricades
