On September 18, 2025, Bost stated, "This week, I voted on a series of bills to make Washington, D.C., safer for residents and law enforcement. The following day, he commented on recent developments for veterans: "Big win from the Trump administration for our veterans! https://t.co/aPLHM6BLaB" (September 19, 2025).
Also on September 19, Bost recognized POW/MIA Recognition Day by posting: "Today on POW/MIA Recognition Day, we honor the brave Americans who were taken prisoner in defense of our nation and those who never returned home. Their sacrifice, and the pain carried by their families, must never be forgotten. As Chairman of the House Veterans’ Affairs https://t.co/RvrhMYNjSb"
Mike Bost has represented Illinois in Congress since winning his first election in 2014 with 52.5% of the vote against William L. Enyart.
