The Glen Carbon Public Safety Committee will meet Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 6 pm to discuss whether to extend the current intergovernmental agreement with Village of Maryville for dispatch services for ten years.
To start the meeting the floor will be open for citizens wishing to speak to the committee. Afterwards, the committee will run through letters and communications and various old business initiatives.
As the meeting turns to new business, the intergovernmental agreement with Maryvillle will come to the forefront. The discussion boils down to whether the committee wants to adopt a new, multi-agency 10-year deal for dispatch services.
Other items of note include discussions on entering into a lease/purchase agreement with Motorola for three years for dispatch center radio equipment, whether to enact an agreement for architectural services and the approval of a maintenance agreement for the Morphotrust/Safran Live Scan fingerprint machine.
An executive session on personnel matters will also be held.
The Glen Carbon Public Safety Committee will meet at in Public Safety Facility Community Room located at 149 North Main Street in Glen Carbon, Illinois.
