Edwardsville City Council to discuss taxes, bonds at upcoming meeting.
The Edwardsville City Council has set the agenda for its meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 1, which will address various tax and bond issues for the city.
After discussing an employee and retiree holiday party at the Wildey Theatre, the council will cover an ordinance to authorize and direct the issuance, sale and delivery of general obligation bonds -- series 2015 -- for the city. This ordinance provides for the levy and collection of an annual tax that pays the principal and interest on the bonds.
Additional items of importance include a discussion centering on a commercial building façade application for N. Main St. and notes on upcoming meetings for the Finance, Public Safety and Administrative & Community Service committees.
