The Village of Maryville has released its minutes from a recent board meeting where it discussed city communications, community improvement and other ordinances.

After the approval of bills, the clerk read off some communications notes. Alex and Chris Nazetta resigned from the Community Improvement Board. Following this note, the board discussed legal matters, citing an ordinance authorizing the execution of a water service and pre-annexation agreement pertaining to property at 226 Woodridge Ct.

As the meeting turned toward business from the floor, Joe Semanisin, a member of the County Board, noted he attended the meeting to request funds from the Village for renovating the Highway 159 memorial. The County Board’s plan is to replace all non-engraved bricks with new bricks and build a statue of a soldier and possibly a firefighter.
