Alton City Council met recently on a several important ordinances

The Alton, Illinois City Council released an agenda from a recent meeting in which it discussed the Americans with Disabilities Act and several important ordinances.

The meeting began with a notice of the proposed transition plan pursuant to a section of the American Disabilities Act, Title II.

An ordinance was discussed revolving around a handicapped parking space outside of 2404 Sanford.

The council additionally sought resolution on a text amendment to Section 3 D of Chapter 5 of Title 11. The goal was to add limited service restaurants and caterers to the list of special uses within the R-2 Single Family Residential Zoning District.
