The Community Planning, Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee for Godfrey, Illinois held a regular meeting recently in which it discussed economic development incentives.
William Catalano, economic development and market branding planner, presented updates to the committee on economic development incentives. He first examined the economic development website. In his vision for the website, Catalano said he wants to include videos and recommended Rte 3 Productions to produce them.
Catalano next walked the committee through financing infrastructure projects through the use of bonds. He announced that he would like to have the Bank of Edwardsville come to the next meeting to give a presentation. Catalano suggested choosing a lead bank-bond and fiduciary after hearing presentations from several banks.
Finally, Catalano discussed the commercial façade improvement program. He asked for approval to go before the finance committee at the next meeting to consider this program. The motion was carried.
