The Village of Godfrey, Illinois Board of Trustees met recently to discuss an audit report and various new business initiatives.

CJ Schlosser and Company LLC presented the 2014 audit report. Afterwards, the village discussed new business. It considered an ordinance that amended the code of ordinances, chapter 38, which deals with sanitation. Specifically, the amendment sought to amend section 38-31, which defines inoperable motor vehicles.

Several zoning matters were also up for consideration. One centered on rezoning a R-3 single residential property to B-5 planned business district. Another was for Godfrey Storage Company LLC, giving it a special-use permit to add storage buildings at 1519 and 1523 West Delmar Ave.

Before adjourning, the board noted that anybody desiring to be heard by the board needs to submit a written request for the floor to the Village Clerk no later than 2 p.m. on the Tuesday before a meeting.
