The City Council for the City of Troy, Illinois met recently to discuss reports from its subcommittees.
The first report on the docket was the Administrative and Community Services Committee Report. Building and Zoning Administrator Keith Frey noted that the building of the Holiday Inn was going well, as was the building of O’Reilly’s auto store.
Next up was the Finance and Economic Development Committee Report. Bills for the month of October and November were approved and paid.
The Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Committee Report noted the results of the recent Law Enforcement Committee meeting. The Public Works Committee Report brought up the results of the recent Public Works Committee meeting, which included the City Engineer’s report. Last up were reports of special committees, including a report from the Water Plant Review Committee.
Another important aspect of the meeting was the mayor’s comments. Mayor Allen Adomite recognized the Troy Police Department for all their recent hard work. He also announced that landscaping on the 162 Bridge had begun.
