Troy City Council held regular meeting to discuss committee reports

The City Council for the City of Troy, Illinois held its regular meeting recently to discuss reports from various committees.

After calling the meeting to order and approving the minutes from the previous meeting, the Mayor swore in new police officers and gave a presentation from the municipal clerks of Illinois. The committee then turned to the reports from its committees.

During the Administrative and Community Services Committee Report, the committee discussed the results of the planning commission meeting and the results of the Zoning Board of Appeals public hearing.

The Finance and Economic Development Committee report talked about bills to be approved and paid, the results of its recent meeting and the City Treasurer’s report. The Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Committee Report went over a report from the Chief of Police.

In the Public Works Committee Report, the council discussed the reports from the City Engineer and the Public Works Director. During the Special Committees section, the Water Plant Review Committee gave a report.

The meeting was held at the City Council Chambers in the Troy Municipal Building at 116 E. Market St. The City Council meets regularly on the first and third Mondays of the month.
