Madison County Grants Committee discusses community development issues.
In a recent meeting, the Grants Committee for Madison County, Illinois, focused on community development issues, including a resolution concerning the Brownfield Grant.
J. Arnold presented the grant resolution, which authorized an agreement with Environmental Operations for the U.S. EPA Brownfield Grant assessment program and fact sheet. The motion was approved unanimously.
A resolution was presented awarding the national development council the contract for technical assistance and the fact sheet. The motion was approved unanimously.
S. Ray presented a resolution that awarded a professional services contract to the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. The contract dealt with analysis of impediments for housing. This motion also passed unanimously.
After all resolutions were discussed, F. Miles updated and provided the committee fact sheets about the Veterans Service Forum event, the CDBG workshop, the Enterprise Zone update, the building permit and development activity report, the UDAG loan activity report, the CSBG loan activity report, the PEP loan and the CDBG project activity report.
