The Madison City Council recently met to review city reports and approve bids for surplus properties.

The City Council for the City of Madison, Illinois, recently met to approve bids for surplus properties and assess various city reports.

During the meeting, a motion was made to open and approve bids received for surplus properties located at 1650 Third St., 1652 Third St. and 216 Ewing St. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously. The council then accepted bids from True Fellowship Church amounting to $150 each for the properties.

The council assessed reports from the comptroller and other department officers. Another item of note from the meeting was a statement made by Ken Owens in which he expressed his appreciation for TIF funds to upgrade his facility.

Alderpersons present included Jenkins, Bridick, Vrabec, Hampsey, Foley, Riskovsky and Haynes. Mayor Hamm presided over the meeting.
