The township board of Wood River, Illinois, prepares for its upcoming meeting.
A regular meeting for the township board of Wood River, Illinois, will be held at 6 p.m. today, Jan. 26.
After public comments, the board will hear reports from officers, committees and special committees before looking at any petitions. It will then discuss resignations and appointments. Trustee Mike Dettmers will be resigning.
On the new business front, the board will examine residency requirements for employees as well as the Dynegy power plant. Also of note will be the treasurer’s report and approval of bills.
The Wood River Township board serves the residents of Wood River, East Alton, Cottage Hills and Roxana, as well as portions of Bethalto and Hartford. It meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the Wood River Township Hall, located at 33 S. Ninth St. in East Alton.
