Berco Construction Inc. completed repairs on Screw Station 4 -- changing the auger-bearing pump #1 and removing the electric motor and gearbox. Replacement parts and labor were extensive, bringing the total cost of repair to $21,701.57. The committee approved the purchase request.
A purchase request was brought forth regarding the repair and replacement of a Flygt CP 3127 Pump from Lift Station 23. The total cost for these repairs was proposed at $8,591 -- including freight and delivery. The request was approved unanimously.
Following purchase requests, attorney William Schooley gave an update on the service area’s maintenance agreements. Schooley put together an agreement draft that would hold for a three-year period. He had already completed the verbiage and just needed to fine-tune the advertising and bid process by working with the purchasing department.
