Announcements about 2016 Primary Election early voting dates kicked off a recent City Council meeting for the City of Troy, Illinois.
Also of note at this gathering was the citizen participation portion, in which three people came forward to speak. Thom Layden, a Hampton Glen resident, wanted to know when the postponed Public Works Committee meeting would be rescheduled. Susan Fryman, a resident of Forest Knoll, noted that she was also interested, as she wanted to discuss drainage issue concerning her subdivision. Mitch Fryman spoke about how water drainage issues allegedly caused erosion on his property.
An ordinance and a resolution were also discussed at the meeting. A motion carried to approve Ordinance 2016-01, declaring certain vehicles to be surplus. A motion carried to approve Resolution 2016-03 for the denial of variance from the sign ordinance for O’Reilly Auto Parts.
