The Village of Maryville's board will discuss the motor fuel tax program and various legal matters at tonight's meeting.
The Village of Maryville, Illinois, will hold a board meeting at 6:30 p.m. today, Feb. 3, to discuss legal matters and various old and new business items.
On the legal front, the board will examine Ordinance 2016-02, which would annex 2910 Maryville Road. It will also assess Resolution 2016-03, which would appropriate $280,000 of the Motor Tax Fuel Fund for the period beginning May 1 and ending April 30, 2017.
The board will then address old business, where it will make a motion to approve the 2016 Motor Fuel Tax Maintenance Program and send members Bauer and Simpson to the Water Conference in Effingham on Feb. 16.
Before adjourning, the board will discuss new business, hear comments from trustees and listen to the mayor’s comments, during which he will talk about the appointment of Mike Piccohioldi to the Maryville Heritage Museum Committee.
The meeting will be held at Village Hall, located at 2520 N. Center St., Maryville. The next board meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 17, and the next village caucus meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 10.
