Granite City Council OKs IDOT highway, street maintenance

The Granite City Council recently approved a resolution from the Illinois Department of Transportation for the maintenance of streets and highways in the city for $28,000.

The council also approved a fire truck purchase for the fire department, passed a resolution that urges Congress to reduce the dumping of foreign steel and agreed on a resolution to enter into a professional services agreement with Good Energy.

Before adjourning, the council examined and approved the bill list for the previous month in the amount of $2,060,843.76.
