Highland Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission discusses current project goals

Parks

The Highland Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission met March 15 in the Korte Recreation Center to discuss the Korte Recreation Center and the Sunray Drive land donation.

After department updates, which included the budget summary and an update on the Sursee and Sharpshooters Trail project, the commission delved into unfinished business from its previous meeting. This business included short and long-term goals for both the Outdoor Pool and the Korte Recreation Center as well as the Sunray Drive land donation.

From there, the commission turned to open discussion. Items assessed included PEP grant items, the Spring Bloom Festival and ideas for improving the Parks and Recreation department.
