The Edwardsville City Council unanimously approved last month a motion to award the recycled rubber playground surface bid at Joe Glik Park to Ecoturf Surfacing LLC in the amount of $10,106.25.
The project will be funded through the Madison County Sustainability Grant.
The council also examined reports of elected and appointed officials and approved various ordinances. Reports assessed included the monthly financial report and monthly activity report from the city clerk, the monthly financial report and quarterly report from the city treasurer and the monthly activity report from the police and fire chiefs.
Also of note at the meeting were an ordinance authorizing the imposition of a cable and video service provider fee and PEG access support fee and an ordinance approving the transfer of volume cap from private activity bonds.
