The Parks and Recreation Committee for the City of Alton recently gathered to assess a request by Jeff Ligdon to use Rock Springs Park for a disc golf tournament.
The tournament will be held May 21. Park staff Michael Haynes noted that porta potties will be moved to shelter by that date in time. Commissioner Carolyn Dooley motioned to approve Ligdon’s request. Commissioner Carolyn MacAfee seconded and the motion carried.
The committee then reviewed the financial reports for Lucy Haskell Playhouse, Oriental Garden, William E. Smith,Piasa and Simpson Tennis Funds.
