Alton Civil Service Commission approves requisitions for a new firefighter and lead jailer.

During a recent Alton Civil Service Commission meeting, City Attorney James Schrempf discussed the need for updating the Civil Service rules to meet new legal standards.

Also of note at the meeting was the approval of a job description for a Wastewater Treatment Plant Laboratory Operator III and the signing of requisitions for a new firefighter and lead jailer.

Members present at the meeting were Terry Bristow, Vicki-Searles Williams and Jonas Janek. Staff members present were Human Resources Director Amanda Scoggins and Civil Service Attorney Rodney Caffey.
