During a recent Troy City Council meeting, Mayor Allen Adomite announced that the Third Annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast will be held at 7 a.m., Thursday, May 5, with guest speaker Lisa Guilliams from Twigs For Kids.
The council discussed topics related to its various committees, including noting the results of the Gonzalez Engineering Kickoff meeting.
The Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Committee report included the authorization of a new assistant chief with an annual salary at 10 percent above lieutenant rank pay grade.
The Finance and Economic Development Committee presented the City Treasurer’s report and the Economic Development and Tourism Coordinator’s report.
The council examined various ordinances and resolutions, including one in support of the city’s application for a Madison County Sustainability Grant and one in support of the city’s application for MEPRD Park and Trail Matching Grant Program funding.
