The Edwardsville Finance Committee discussed the 2016 budget as well as cable provider fees at its recent meeting.
In a recent Finance Committee meeting for the City of Edwardsville, the group discussed an ordinance that would authorize the imposition of both a cable and video service provider fee and PEG Access Support Fee.
The committee also examined the 2016 budget, which included funds for EDSA, community development, liability insurance, municipal bond, tourism, gateway commerce TIF, TIF #2, North Main Street TIF, bond reserve fund, municipal facilities, public library, garbage fund, police department endowment, mobile intensive care and St. Louis Street special service area.
Present at the meeting were chairman Art Risavy, Alderperson Janet Stack, City Treasurer Rich Hampton and City Clerk Dennis McCracken. Mayor Hal Patton was present, as well.
