Early registration is underway for Godfrey Parks and Recreation's youth-basketball program, according to the city's website.
Youth basketball, which is for players in grades kindergarten through fifth, has early registration Oct. 10-28 for $35 per resident and $45 per nonresident. Regular registration is from Oct. 31-Nov. 18 and is $40 and $50, respectively.
For rookie basketball, which is designed for boys and girls ages 3-5, early registration runs from Oct. 17-Nov. 4 and is $20 per resident and $30 per nonresident. From Nov. 7-Dec. 2, registration fees are $25 and $35.
Practices will run from mid-December to early January. Games are set to start at the end of January.
Registration forms and more information on game practice time and game schedules are available at GodfreyIL.org. Registration also can be done during office hours Monday through Friday at 6810 Godfrey Road or mailed to P.O. Box 5067, Godfrey, Illinois 62035.
